Residential

Houses, taken apart and put back together.

Complete residential renovations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, custom interiors and ground-up building. Three projects, each shown from what was there at the start.

01

Semi-detached house, taken back and rebuilt

The house came to us empty and closed up, with the front openings boarded, the roof edge failing and the yard gone to gravel. Everything visible from the street was replaced, and everything behind it was rebuilt: new roof, new windows, new siding and trim, a new masonry frontage, and a full interior fit-out from the framing forward.

Scope

  • Roof replacement
  • Windows and exterior doors
  • Siding, trim and masonry frontage
  • Full interior fit-out
  • Kitchen and two bathrooms
  • Landscaping and site work

02

Three-storey house, stripped to the structure

This one was a gut in the literal sense. The rear elevation had lost its render down to the brick, the openings were boarded, and inside there was very little left but the outer walls, the joists and a stair. The building was stripped out completely, rebuilt from the structure forward, and finished in a new render with new openings throughout.

Scope

  • Complete strip-out
  • Structural repairs and new framing
  • Masonry rebuilding at the base
  • New windows and doors throughout
  • Rendered and finished elevations
  • New rear yard slab

03

New house, going up from the foundation

A ground-up residential build on a lot that falls away steeply at the back, which put a full storey of foundation wall under the house before any of it was visible from the street. It was framed over the winter, closed in, and is being clad through the summer. The sequence below stops where the job currently stands rather than at a handover, because it has not had one yet.

Scope

  • Excavation and foundations
  • Timber framing across three levels
  • Roof structure and covering
  • Sheathing, weatherproofing and siding
  • Interior rough-in
  • Stone fireplace and chimney breast
